What is your project about?

The Topic is about the plastic contamination because our current consumer habits do not let us live a life without the plastic products; it is a big problem in Mexico the plastic production is about 300 million of tons, and only the 3% of that tons are what recycled.

The people everyday use a lot of plastic, for example, when they go to the supermarket to buy some products and ask for plastic bags, the plastic products are cheap and for that reason the business use this materials for their products, any way the people discard their inorganic garbage in the streets and rivers affecting the soil and the water.

The business are interested in their money, without think in the environment, finally the people do not have an environmental awareness, like recycle the purchase of necessary things.

 

The consequences re that the 300 millions of tons per year, the third part of that reaches the ocean killing many organisms; by the way it affects the soil organisms and their functioning; they are also toxic and it causes damage to the other living beings.

Some groups of people have been concerned about this problem and they have environmental care campaigns to eradicate plastic pollution. For example, "Break Free from Plastic” started in 2017 in Europe Unity; it has protected the oceans, rivers, and communities, and sue companies to take responsibility for their actions.

Other association is “Our Ocean” created in 2018 and also in Bali, Indonesia. They have created new normalities in production system and also guarantee the 100% of plastic reuse.

And finally, in Mexico "The Environmental Commission, created in 2018 and they have recycled a lot plastic products to generate jobs and they have created biotechnology centers.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL CAMPAIGN IS “GREEN PLASTIC”

The purpose is change the current plastic, because it will degradate fastly.

We want to apply the campaign in near comunities like Atlacomulco, Jocotitlan and Temascalcingo.

We decide to use blue and grey, the first one because is the color of the cleanliness andfreshness; and the second one because is the color lacking energy and resignation.

Our slogan is: “Less plastic move lite and less gray world”

For it reason you must recycle the plastic bottles, you must not ask for a plastic bag, you must carry a backpack when you go shopping and you must havean environmental culture.

You must reuse the plastic containers, you must separate your garbage and you must not throw garbage on the Street.

Finally, you must reduce the use of plastic bags, you must participate in cleaning campaigns and you must use a bicycle.
